Middle school Program
Grades: 6, 7, and 8
Teaching Approach
In the middle school Grades, there is a continuum of classroom teaching practices that are incorporated from Grade 1 onwards. The construction of knowledge and its understanding and application are continuously promoted through collaborative learning structures as they provide abundant opportunities for rich social interaction between/among peers. Usually, social space is created for sharing and acquiring knowledge and understanding in a group of 4 to 6 students.
The competencies, required in students, are continuously built by their learning experiences created through competency-based learning plans. Each learning plan is targeted towards achieving some competencies in each subject. The skills and capabilities are well aligned with the knowledge, understanding, and competencies required to be successful in the Central Board Examinations. Reading & comprehension, Analysis of knowledge, promotion of critical thinking skills, and building capacity for creative writing skills are predominant features in the middle school Grades.
Curriculum
The school has incorporated the XSEED curricular resources into its curriculum to fulfil the above-mentioned objectives, and also to prepare our students for the CBSE Board Examinations. The syllabus covered by the XSEED is well aligned with the NCERT syllabus. In Grade 8, the NCERT curriculum is followed in order to set the Board preparation in motion for students. In addition to NCERT and XSEED, various online resources and outside exposure are given to the students for their learning and development.
