Parent as Co-partners

PARENT - TEACHER MEETING

Brilliant Stars School holds Parent-Teacher Meetings on a quarterly basis. It understands that these meetings are highly valuable and constructive as parents are co-partners in the learning journey of their children and these spaces provide an opportunity to allow them to know about efforts and performance demonstrated by their wards and make a plan for further progress on a continuum. These parent conferences encompass other areas of all round development such as positive character formation, behaviour, etc.

One such meeting on a one-on-one basis was held all across the classes from Grade 1 to 9 on 27th and 28th July, 2024 in the school campus.  The data was collated for each student in various subjects in the given format:

1. Strength of the student

2. Developmental areas of the student

3. Strategy for making progress in the development areas

4.  Parents support to achieve the goal at home

5. Any suggestions/concerns from the parents

According to the parents, the arrangement of the data in the above format was very helpful for them to understand their children in a better manner. Some parents remarked that the same strengths and improvement areas are observed in their children by them at home also. Each of the parents was given 15 minutes time to interact with the class teachers. Some of them discussed about their children with other subject teachers also. Parents also asked questions, expressed their concerns, and provided constructive feedback to the teacher. In a nutshell, the parents seemed satisfied that 15 minutes of interaction with the teachers was highly productive.
